I cannot believe that it has been over 16 months since I last had a face-to-face mobile photography workshop. 16 months without being on the streets making photographs and putting into practice what we have been learning.
I am delighted that in a couple of weeks I will be back out on the streets with a group of like-minded photography enthusiasts trying to see what can be seen and how to see it.
Together with the Glucksman Gallery, I am offering a hybrid mobile photography workshop.
What’s a hybrid mobile photography workshop? Well, it’s quite simple. Sandwiched in between two online sessions (Wednesdays July 14th and 21st – 7 to 8.30 pm) we will meet up on Saturday, July 11 for a photo walk around Cork city. The best of both worlds: theory online and practice together on the streets – hybrid!
The best part of any photography workshop is being out together on the streets making photographs; interacting with people, and just having great fun. I am always struck by the sheer variety of what the participants produce. We might walk along the same route, but rarely do we ever see the same scene that works it way into out photographs.
The shift to online learning has been great, but nothing beats being together out shooting. So, join me for the first hybrid mobile photography workshop.
